We live in an age of remarkable machines. AI can write, paint, compose and calculate in seconds, and many of us quietly wonder: if a machine can do what I do, what am I worth?
Scripture answers that question long before the first computer was ever built.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”Genesis 1:27 · BSB
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.”Genesis 1:28 · BSB
A tool, not an identity
The hammer, the brush and the printing press all extend human hands. AI is the same. It is a tool, and like every tool God has allowed us to make, it is something to steward and rule over, never something that defines who we are.
AI bears the image of its makers. You bear the image of your Maker. Before you ever made anything, your worth was already spoken. The image of God is not in what you produce. It is who you are.
Your value does not come from what you create, but from the One who created you.
